The author shows us the sensational Exhibition being planned and put together by the great Erik Gunnar Asplund and his colleagues, and we are present at its royal inauguration. After which she takes us on a guided tour around the colorful halls and pavilions. It was the breakthrough of functionalist architecture in Sweden. Its halls displayed everyday artifacts, boldly designed and its challenging houses and apartments attempted to tackle acute social problems. Yet at the same time their many traditional arts and crafts on show.
