Inaugurated in 1917, this school was Sweden’s largest and most complex educational institution at the time. The architect chosen to design the building was the school’s own professor Erik Lallerstedt. For the interior decor, he hired the top artists of the time. This book documents the history of the school and the large renovation of the main building, completed in 1996 and documented by a renowned photographer of architecture, Åke E:son Lindman while Pia Ulin provides an insider’s view of student life occuring in the newly painted corridors of the school today. With commentary on architecture and technical history by specialist Staffan Nilsson and an interactive tour by Sten Kaiser on the included cd-rom, this book provides readers with the opportunity to tour through the rooms in the main building while learning about every aspect of the evolution of this renowned learning institution.
