It is both about the actual rooms within select works of the period and the conceptual space that these works delineate in relation to one another. This book is illustrated throughout with examples from houses by both renowned and lesser known architects such as Le Corbusier, Frank Lloyd Wright, Josef Frank, J.J.P. Oud, Ernst May, R.M.Schindler, Alvar Aalto, Mies van der Rohe, Gunnar Asplund and Adolf Loos.
