The 18th-century Drottningholm Court Theatre, along with the palace and the park, have been classified by UNESCO as one of the most valuable building complexes in the world. This handsomely illustrated book contains many detailed photographs from the various dressing rooms, guilded scrollwork on the walls, seating in the auditorium to the stage machinery which controls the lighting, curtains, and special effects. While the theatre was originally only enjoyed by royalty, it is still currently in use. The book also includes sections on its modern fittings and a survey on the wear-and-tear of the building.
