The dining room of Brøndum’s Hotel in Skagen, Denmark played a crucial role in the story of the Skagen painters and the artist’s colony that flourished in Skagen in the 1880’s and 1890’s. The dining room today constitutes an integral part of the Skagens Museum. The Museum has long wanted to go into the many stories surrounding this. This book is the result of several years of research by curator Jensen, with the stories as well as examination of the individual works of the many brilliant and well-known artists who frequented the dining room. Lavishly illustrated including portraits of the artists.
