The Danish Poster Museum was established in 1993 in Arhus, its artwork base formed mainly of Hungarian and Polish art works. Due to the continuous collecting activity and exhibitions, there have been catalogued and looked after more than 2000,000 posters from 126 countries since then. An old dream of the Danish Poster Museum and the Hungarian Consulate is fulfilled by the presentation of the Hungarian Poster Art in a separate exhibition since October 2001. To the Danish audience there were presented the selected art works of the 5, also internationally acknowledged atists, who have autonomous thinking and invdividual ways of expression: Joszef Arendas, Ferenc Barath, Krysztof Ducki, Istvan Orosz and Peter Pocs. Therefore, all the works were new in the sense that they could not be found in any already existing collection of the museum. The posters are the documents of the change of regime and of the first 10 years of democracy. Through them, we can get an insight into the social, political and rich cultural life of Hungary.
