Bayt Al-‘Aqqad is one of 23 buildings that is part of the UNESCO World Heritage programme in old Damascus. This book takes a comprehensive look at the restoration that took place on the building when the Danish Institute in Damascus took over the house in 1997. This process revealed not only how beautiful the house was but that it contains fine examples of the most important periods of the exterior and the interior architectural history of Damascus.
