Frits Thaulow and Erik Werenskiold were Norwegian turn of the century painters. Frits Thaulow was an impressionist painter who is known for his beautiful landscapes and his realistic painting of water. Thaulow was a key figure in Nordic painting around 1880, and a personal friend of Monet. Erik Werenkiold was inspired by French nature and the naturalist movement. He painted peasants and landscapes, portraits of celebrities, and illustrations for Norwegian fairy tales. This catalogue attempts to re-produce the joint exhibition from Stockholm, Sweden in March of 1892.
