This exhibition is an attempt to disclose the multitude of the Asian contemporary art scene today. It brings together17 artists and encompasses both photography, video, installation and performance. There is a widespread interest in Asia in Denmark. Yet, the people in the Nordic countries often have a very narrow traditional idea of Asia. Here the audience will have a more wide perception of Asia as a society, that is both on one hand committed to tradition and on the other characterized by a rapid high technological progress. The exhibition will awake a broader awareness of Asia today and the multitude of the Asian contemporary art scene.
