As a point of departure the exhibition is focusing on other artists, whom Kirkeby has written extensively about as well as colleagues. Artists like August Rodin, Paul Gauguin, Edward Weie, J.F. Willumsen, Vincent Van Gogh, Alberto Giacometti and Edward Munch are among those whom Kirkeby has devoted autobiographically and existential themes, pure visual technicalities are also explored, resulting in surprising new perspectives.
