This collection of contemporary Danish ceramics concentrates on the work of four potters, Gertrud Vasegaard, Gutte Eriksen, Alev Siesbye-Ebüzziya and Bodil Manz. Several other ceramicists are featured in the collection of Boymans-van Beuningen Museum which focuses on the “container” form, objects that had an obvious function or bore a hint of the storage function. The unique pieces of Vasegaard are known for their glazes and decorations while Bodil Manz’s talent is taking conventional objects of use and designing them in unconventional forms.
