For thirty years, Bertil Vallien has been an innovator of Swedish glass art, and a driving force in the industrial-art production at the Swedish glass factories. Renowned chiefly for his glass sculptures which he casts in sand, Vallien can also be attributed with revolutionizing glass technology as well as refining the quality of individual creativity. Including wonderful written critique and graphic representation of this body of work, this catalog aims to present not only a review of ten years of his creativity but also to offer the collector the unique opportunity to acquire pieces from the various series executed during this period.

In 1981 a process began that proved to be a new direction in Ann Wolff’s aesthetic development. In 1981 Ann Wolff began to draw, freely and autonomously, with no immediate relation to her glasswork. The engraved outlines of female and male nudes, which since 1971 had been a component of her glass compositions, were freed from this material. They began to be drawn with pencil on paper. Step by step, a chain of discoveries, experiments, new beginnings developed, defining each other, affecting one another, circles radiating into even wider circles from a centrifugal force.
