Glass designers Monica Guggisbert and Philip Baldwin met in 1979 as apprentices at the Orrefors glass factory in Sweden. Since then they have forged an intense partnership, crea†ing pieces with a unique style that combines Scandinavian-inspired techniques with the Venetian cold-working process “battuto” to created original works of pure design, including wheel-engraved patterns, glass spheres in mobiles and installations and groups of oblong, almost organically shaped sculptures.
